Team rosters and schedules

Information on how team rosters are filled can be found under the Divisions tab at the top of the page. Team rosters will be complete in time for the coaches meeting, which is in March. Coaches will begin contacting their players after they receive rosters.

Practice begins the first week of April, with practice dates and frequency determined by each coach. Typically, each team has a weekday practice and a weekend practice time. The weekday practice ends when games start.

Spring seasons typically run from early April  through late June, and Fall seasons generally run from late August until mid-October. The number of games scheduled will depend on division. Most teams play two games per week, and games are played are played Monday-Thursday, though there might be one Saturday game (for opening day) and some Fridays (if needed to make up rainouts). Early start time is 5:45 p.m., and late start times are around 7 p.m., depending on division.

Game schedules will be posted on the website and emailed to parents when finalized.

For more information about the season's schedule, visit our Calendar page.

Bat information

Full details about Little League bat standards can be found on the Little League website.

Game cancellations

We have several ways that we notify you in the event games need to be canceled because of inclement weather. We make the determination by 4:00 PM on game days.

The best way to ensure you know about cancelations as soon as possible is to sign up for KOMU text alerts. Visit the KOMU website and select Daniel Boone Little League under section 5.

We also will share the news on our website, Facebook and Twitter.

Rescheduling rained out games is the responsibility of the coaches. When coaches agree on a makeup date, they should contact the director of Baseball or Softball to make sure a field is available and, if necessary, umpires. Makeup game details will be posted once finalized.

The determination whether to cancel practice is up to coaches.

Please DO NOT use the fields if:

  • If you arrive at the park and there is standing water around the bases
  • Ground is so soft you leave half-inch-deep footprints

Use good judgement and common sense before you practice after it rains.

Volunteering at DBLL

Daniel Boone Little League is an all-volunteer organization run by parents, and there are a variety of volunteer opportunities available. You can sign up to volunteer during the registration process or contact us by email if you'd like to help out. It's a great way to get involved in one of your child's activities.

If you would like to volunteer to be a head coach or assistant coach, please indicate that on your child's registration. In addition, please email either the Director of Baseball or Director of Softball (depending on which your child will play) and let us know of your interest. You will be notified in March if you have been selected to coach. If selected, you will need to submit a Little League volunteer application and a Coaches Code of Conduct form. These are available on our Forms & Information page. You will not be able to coach if you don't complete those forms. After completing the forms, you can email them to [email protected] or the Baseball or Softball directors.

You also can mail the forms to:
